Our proposal for the new Žizkov centre is a microcity itself rather than a single massive building. Inside the complex, it is possible to find commercial galleries, green areas and squares, a kindergarten, and green common spaces for the building inhabitants on rooftops.

We look for a strong and powerful image, an icon, but at the same time with a timeless design. The building mixes a classic and a contemporary image which differentiates the commercial base from the apartment blocks.

The concept of this design is the idea of movement, a system of prisms which are fractured and displaced, generating interaction among them.

A building which seems to be vibrating.

The horizontal fractures get some extra open spaces for inhabitants leisure and add sustainable effects.

A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

A full solar analysis has been developed to get the maximum exposition to sunlight. The target of this analysis is to obtain the highest number of apartments with the best solar orientation.

According to this concept, we create squares and streets inside the plot like a city itself.
