LAR TERRA, 63 single family houses
The plot is located in Espartinas, in an area known as Roalcao, nearer to the Gines village than to the centre of Espartinas itself.
The residential type and the urban structure requested generate a framework with 4 long blocks of semi-detached houses. Here, having a high quality urban space was imperative. Therefore, private parking is open, without any fence, in order to recreate the perception of an unbolted urban context, clearly referring to the Northern concept of residential complex.
The materials involved in houses construction are two: white rough coating for the projecting volumes and Clinker bricks for the rest of the building. On a plot only 5 metres deep, the houses present the living area on the ground floor. Kitchen is placed on the main front with the intention of visual connection between the house and the community, the kitchen and the living room. The living room, as a more private zone, faces the back yard. Sleeping area is upstairs.
The common area, with vegetation and a swimming pool, is just next the principal avenue. Being on an upper level, allowing to setback the building to get it far from traffic, reduce the impact of the volumes on the context and produce an open huge panorama of olives trees, keeping a privileged point of view just above the road level.
